hey bro. I feel your pain about the skis... but cheer up lil fella, I ordered my MR's at the same time and they found their way to my door yesterday and I live in south dakota.  so hopefully monday you'll get your brown box of happiness!

I know exactly how you feel. I am waiting on my MR 179s and I check the front porch every couple of hours. I live in Wisconsin so hopefully yours and mine will arrive on monday.

Boots:

You're gonna want something with a good firm supportive flex without being too stiff.  I have patrolled, instructed  and I find that for my ability and weight in gear a 120 to 130 flex is perfect for me.  If you weigh under 185-190 I'd say go with something from a 100 to 110 maybe even a 120 - depends on how and what you like to ski.  The 2 critical parts to the boots though are  - 1- get a good custom orthotic foot bed and 2- a good aftermarket liner like Intuition, Sidas Injected Foam or Zip-Fit.  Stock liners are junk and you will have them packed out in a month or less.  Talk to a good reputable boot fitter - the Full Tilt would be a excellent choice - BUT - depends if they are a good match to the shape of your foot.  Try on a few 3 or 4 different brands and go with what the boot fitter suggests - pick the best fitting and throw in a orthotic footbed first & after the stock liners are blown get a better liner and you'll be golden! Much better comfort, performance and warmth!
